Ebook deliveryComing
Kobo readers can read every ebook you sell.
Coming. Kobo doesn’t work with Lanternbee yet. What follows separates what works today from what’s planned.
Kobo eReaders open EPUB files, so any ebook you sell from Lanternbee works on a Kobo. Today the reader downloads the EPUB from their library and copies it across with a cable. A direct send, like Send to Kindle, is planned but not built.
What it does in Lanternbee
- Today, readers download the EPUB from their Lanternbee library and copy it to their Kobo.
- The library tells Kobo readers how to do it, next to the download button.
- Coming: a one-click send to the reader’s Kobo, like Send to Kindle.
Limits
- There is no one-click send to Kobo yet.
- Copying across needs a computer and the cable.
How it works
Download the EPUB
In their Lanternbee library, the reader downloads the ebook.
Connect the Kobo
They plug the Kobo into a computer with its USB cable and tap Connect on the eReader.
Copy the file across
They drag the EPUB onto the drive called KOBOeReader, then eject it before unplugging.
