Readers send your ebook straight to their Kindle.
Most ebook readers own a Kindle. When they buy from your store, they should not have to work out how to copy a file across. In their Lanternbee library, every ebook has a Send to Kindle button. We email the EPUB to their Kindle address and Amazon puts it in their Kindle library, on every device they read on.
What it does in Lanternbee
- Every ebook in the reader’s library has a Send to Kindle button.
- Lanternbee emails the EPUB to the reader’s Kindle address as an attachment, and Amazon adds it to their Kindle library.
- The copy carries a line with the buyer’s email, the same as a download. No DRM.
- Readers can send it again any time, for a new Kindle or after a reset.
- Each send is tracked, so you can see whether it went out.
Limits
- Only EPUB files are sent. PDFs and audiobooks are downloaded instead.
- The EPUB must be 25 MB or less. Amazon caps an email at 50 MB, and attaching a file makes it bigger.
- If the reader has not approved our sender address at Amazon, the book does not arrive.
- Kindle+ (formerly Kindle Unlimited) ebooks must be exclusive to Amazon, so they cannot be sold direct at all.

Questions about Send to Kindle
Do readers need a Kindle device?
No. Books sent to a Kindle address appear in the Kindle app on phones and tablets too.
Why did a book not arrive?
Almost always because our sender address is not on the reader’s approved list at Amazon. Once they add it, they can press Send to Kindle again.
